Watermelon Sorbet

This easy to make recipe is big on summery flavor. To make it more "watermelony", add in mini chocolate chips to resemble seeds.

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

8 cups watermelon, seeds removed and cut into cubes

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1.  Bring the water and sugar to a boil in a small saucepan.

2.  Cook, stirring frequently, until the sugar dissolves.

3.  Set aside to cool.

4.  Place the watermelon cups in a food processor or blender and pulse until pureed.

5.  Combine the watermelon, sugar mixture and lemon juice in a large bowl and stir until well mixed.

6.  Pour the mixture into a shallow baking dish and freeze overnight.

7.  When ready to serve, blend until smooth.
