The Award Winning Ghirardelli Brownies Recipe

Really good easy brownie recipe that young and old will love!

2 Eggs

2/3 cup Unsifted flour

3/4 cup Sugar

1 teaspoon Vanilla

1/4 teaspoon Baking powder

1/2 cup Butter or margarine; melted

1/4 teaspoon Salt

3/4 cup Ghirardelli ground chocolate

1/2 cup Walnuts, chopped

1.  Heat oven to 350F degrees.

2.  Using a spoon, stir eggs with sugar and vanilla till blended, then stir in the butter.

3.  Sift ground chocolate with flour, baking powder & salt.

4.  Stir well into the egg mixture and when done add in the walnuts, spreading them out in the mixture.

5.  Spread into greased 8" or 9"-inch square pan.

6.  Bake at 350F for 20 to 30 minutes. For extra chewy brownies, use 8-inch pan and less baking time. For cake like brownies, use 9-inch pan and longer baking.

7.  Cut into squares.

Cooks' note:
When done out of the oven, put tray into freezer for about 20minutes before cutting up brownies, this will make cutting them into squares much easier.
