1/2 teaspoon Oil

1 pounds Shrimps


1/2 cup Soy Sauce light

1/2 tablespoon Mirin

1/2 teaspoon Sugar

2 scallions minced + 1 for garnish

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Ginger, finely minced

1 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

1/2 teaspoon Sesame Oil

1 tablespoon Corn starch or flour


1 Green Onions, chopped

1 teaspoon toasted Sesame seeds

1.  Combine all the ingredients for marinade and set aside.

2.  In a large plastic bag for storage, place already cleaned fresh shrimps, pour the marinade in the bag, shake few times and let the shrimps marinade for 15-20 minutes.(same goes for any kind of meat).

3.  Pan sear or grill, turning and basting few times with marinade, for 5-7 minutes. *For meat option cook until meat is well cooked (15-20 minutes)

4.  Serve with salad, over rice, pasta, potatoes est.

6.  In the pan where you cooked shrimps, add 2-3 Tbs. marinade and 1 teaspoon gochujang OR put about ½ tsp. oil, 2-3 Tbs. marinade and gochujang (Red hot chili paste)

7.  Stir until thicker and almost caramelized.

8.  Brush shrimps all over or just use as a dip.
