Smoked Sausage and Fried Potatoes

This recipe is definitely a simple southern favorite. The buttery flavor of the potatoes mixed with the spicy flavor from the sausage is heaven in a bowl!

4 large potatoes (I used red)

1 package of link sausage (I used smoked)

Smoked paprika

Brown sugar

1 pack Hidden Valley ranch

1.  Peel and dice potatoes. Rinse thoroughly.

2.  Cut sausage into small pieces.

3.  Melt spoonful of butter on low heat in skillet.

4.  Add potatoes and sausage together, and cover liberally with both smoked paprika and brown sugar, and half of the ranch pack.

5.  Cover and cook for 10 minutes.

6.  Flip and cover again with liberal amounts of smoked paprika and brown sugar, and the rest of the ranch pack.

7.  Cover and cook another 10 minutes.

8.  Cook another 15-20 minutes (or until potatoes are soft), covered, and flipping every few minutes.

9.  Add more butter as needed.

Cooks' note:
For an extra kick, serve with barbecue sauce or ketchup.
