Simply Grilled Corn

I love summer corn…I do not like shucking it, though. About 2-3 years ago, we started soaking the unshucked corn before grilling, then placed the unshucked corn directly on the grill. The corn husks would turn a deep, golden brown, & impart a smokiness to the corn that tastes amazing! You must try this! I have read various recipes adding butter, etc, to the unshucked corn while it grills, but I am sticking with this…no mess, no fuss…just soak & grill! You will love it! 1 ear unshucked corn per person...for 6 people, serve 6 ears

1.  About 15-30 minutes before grilling, soak the unshucked corn in water. Preheat your grill.

2.  Place the soaked ears on the grill about 15 minutes before you grill the burgers and potatoes, if serving. Grill the corn for 15-20 minutes, making sure to turn the corn occasionally, about every 5 minutes.

3.  Remove the corn & let sit for about 5-10 minutes, until cool enough to handle. When ready to serve, the husks & silk will easily peel away from the corn. Serve the grilled corn alongside butter & salt for folks to add, if they desire.
