Mutter Paneer ( Peas & Paneer cooked in a Rich Cashew Sauce )

I love peas a lot...I always have a bag of frozen peas in my freezer...It is always nice to eat peas and paneer together...Paneer is a indian cottage cheese that is soft and it wont melt down when it is fried..This recipe is a green creamy dish that goes well will anything...This dish is very mild one,I have another method of making this dish I will post soon,that version is little bit spicer..

Onion-1 chopped finely

cup Paneer / Cottage Cheese-1 cubed

cups Frozen Peas-2

leaves Coriander / Cilantro-1 cup

1/2 cup Thick Curd-

cup Milk / Heavy Cream-1/2

pieces Cashew-10

Green chilli-2

Coriander powder / Malli podi-1 tblspn

tsp Garam masala powder-1

tsp Cumin seeds / Jeera-1

Salt to taste

tsp Sugar-1

Oil-3 tblspn

1.  Heat oil in a kadai and fry the paneer pieces till golden brown..Drain it and soak it in water till ready to use.

2.  Add cashews and onions in the remaining oil and fry till golden brown.

3.  Drain this and put it in the blender along with coriander leaves and green chilli and make it into a fine paste.

4.  Now add cumin seeds to the remaining oil and crackle it.

5.  Add the ground masala to this..Add coriander powder,garam masala powder,salt and sugar and mix well.

6.  Cook till oil separates.Throw in the frozen peas and peas and mix well.

7.  Add required amount of water and bring that to boil..Simmer and cook till the peas is cooked.

8.  Mix in the curd and milk in this...Bring this to boil and simmer for 5 mins.

9.  Serve hot with roti..
