A childhood recipe my mom used to make that now I can make for my family.

1 lb ground beef

8 oz canned tomato sauce

1 small onion, chopped

8 oz crescent rolls

1 lb Velveeta cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

1.  In a large skillet, brown beef and onion until no longer pink, add in tomato sauce and season with salt and pepper, cook on low about 10 minutes to let flavors combine.

2.  In a pie plate, place separated crescent roll triangles, pressing seams together to form a crust.

3.  Add beef mixture into pie shell, bake at 375F for 20-25 minutes until crust is brown.

4.  Remove and top w/ 5-6 slices of Velveeta (enough to fit) and bake 5-7 more minutes until cheese is melted. Let stand about 5 minutes before slicing.
