Chocolate Orange Brownies

You had the choice of carrot cake or brownies in this week's NutriPic and brownies won the vote, so here's your healthy, chocolatey and delicious recipe.

1/2 avocado, chopped

5 tbsp cacao

4 oz maple syrup

1/2 orange juice from oranges.

1 zest from orange

1.5 oz mixed nuts

2 tbsp chia seeds

7 oz ground almonds

14 oz kidney beans, drained

Optional - honey or maple syrup to top

1.   Preheat the oven to 180C/360F.

2.  Place all the ingredients (except for the nuts) into a food processor and blitz until fully combined.

3.  Add to a mixing bowl, then mix in the nuts.

4.  Line a baking tray with parchment paper, then add the mixture on top.

5.  Bake for 30-35 minutes.

6.  Remove from the oven and sprinkle with more orange zest and honey/maple syrup to serve.
