Carob Apple Cake

by: sweetlaab

Carob, naturally sweet powder, is an alternative to cocoa powder, however, with a different taste. In contrast to cocoa, it is free of the stimulants – caffeine, theobromine, and oxalic acid, which prevent the body from using calcium and zinc. It is also used to replace the flour in gluten-free diet. This is a juicy and tasty carob cake using healthy ingredients including buckwheat flour and apples. As a garnish, we have made sweet apple chips, with which we decorated the cake along with mint leaves.
