Homemade Caramel Sauce is so quick and easy to make at home, you'll never need to buy anything like it ever again!! It can replace butterscotch topping for ice cream and the extremely pricey sauces they sell in the produce section to dip their apples in, and of course, this can be used over your homemade Bread Pudding!! The next-best thing is that there are all of FIVE ingredients, with no impossible-to-pronounce (much less understand) chemicals!! And it keeps just fine in a covered container in the fridge!! Of course, it probably won't be sitting around long enough for that to even be an issue!! 2.  Stir in the brown sugar and salt and bring to a low boil, stirring constantly.

3.  Continue to boil while stirring for 3 - 5 minutes. The longer it boils, the thicker it will be.

4.  Remove from heat!

5.  Stir in the vanilla and evaporated milk.

Cooks' note:
Great to dip apple slices in, or over bread pudding, ice cream, crepes, pancakes/waffles - you name it!!
