I prefer the martinis not to be too sweet...if you need a little extra sweetness, then make brown sugar simple syrup...I recommend making this the day before so that it is cold when making the martinis.
Keep all ingredients in the fridge so that everything is cold...this will require less shaking...& less mess because of the carbonation, which will cause the martini to explode everywhere if you shake too hard...trust me, I know...
