preparation

1.  Preheat oven to 350F.

2.  Wash and dry each potato. Slice each one into 1/4" slices, w/o going all the way through the bottom. A really neat trick to achieve this is to lay the potato beside the handle of a wooden spoon, as you slice. It will "catch" your knife before you cut through the bottom.

3.  Place in a greased baking dish and pour melted butter over top. Try to fan the slices out a bit to get butter in between. Be careful, they will break easily. Sprinkle w/ seasoning salt and pepper.

4.  Bake for 1 hour, or until tender. Serve w/ sour cream on the side.

Cooks' note:
Sometimes mine take a little longer than an hour. If you are in a hurry, start them in the oven and then finish in the microwave.
Serve with sour cream on the side and with any other seasonings you enjoy
