Boil the potato in salted water until just tender, then drain. Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the garlic, ginger, and onion for 1 minute. Add the masala paste and fry for 1 minute, then add the pieces of sardine and fry for another minute. Finally, add the potato, chile, lemon juice, and salt, and cook for 1 minute.
