  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 300˚.

Cut the pears into quarters, then remove the core from each quarter. Place the pear quarters on an aluminum foil-lined rimmed baking sheet. Roast the pears until lightly caramelized, about 45 minutes. Remove from your oven & allow to cool for a few minutes.

Transfer the roasted pears to a blender or food processor, add the vanilla & pepper, & blend/purée until smooth. Add the heavy cream & blend until completely blended & smooth.

Pour the bisque into a heavy sauce pan & heat until sufficiently warm, but not boiling. Serve in soup bowls or cups alone...or with a garnish of roasted chopped pears...the roasted pear vanilla bisque is simply delicious, it really does not need an accompaniment!
