This is a healthy burger recipe. I used frozen peas in this, but you could use fresh peas also.You could have the fried pattice all by itself like a peas tikki, I put it inside a burger so that it make a filling meal for a picnic

Ingredients:

  • 3 burger buns
  • 1 cup peas(defrosted)
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 green chili peppers
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1/2 cup gram flour
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • * Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil for shallow frying
  • * Toppings:
  • 1 onion, sliced into round
  • 1 tomato, sliced into round
  • 1 lemon juiced, as per taste

Directions:

Take the peas, ginger garlic paste, green chili, salt & coriander leaves in a mixer and make it into a coarse puree. Tip this into a bowl.

Add in gram flour, breadcrumbs and mix well.

Form into pattice as per your liking and shallow fry in oil till crispy.

For assembling the burger, toast your buns and place this burger pattice over it and top with sliced onions, tomatoes and squeeze some lemon juice.

Cover with the other half of the bun and dig in straight away or wrap it in foil and take to picnic.

What to look for in Pork? The texture should be firm to the touch, with a flue, smooth grain. If it is soft or watery, reject it. If the pork is packaged, it should not have much moisture in the package. Any liquid there should be clear, not cloudy.

Simple but tasty past recipe. Very filling. Good with a spinach salad.
