Paneer Pulao

Just like corn pulao I thought of making paneer pulao. made my favorite mix koshimbir & made this paneer pulao

serves: 3-4

2 1/2 c Basmati rice

1 medium Onion

1 medium Tomato

100-150 gm Paneer

Ginger-Garlic paste/Wet masala

Turmeric powder (haldi)

1 tsp - 2 Red chilli powder

1-2 tspn Garam masala

Salt to taste

1 tbsp Oil

Mustard seeds

Cumin seeds (jeera)

pinch a Asafoetida/hing powder

leaves Coriander to garnish

15 Water

paneer-pulao-5156.jpg 1.  Soak the basmati rice in water for 15-20 mins.

2.  Crumble some paneer pieces & keep it aside. Stir fry rest of the paneer cubes.

3.  Grind the onion & tomato together in the grinder to make a puree.

4.  Heat oil in a broad wok/kadhai. Add the mustard & cumin seeds,

5.  Chopped green chillies.

6.  Slowly add the tomato-onion puree and saute for 1 min.

7.  Add the crumbled paneer,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,ginger-garlic paste

8.  Saute for 2 mins.

9.  Add a pinch of asafoetida/hing powder,garam masala & salt to taste.

10.  Mix and saute for 2-3 mins.

11.  Wash & clean the soaked basmati rice and add in the curry, do not mix ,add 2

12.  Cups of water and cover with the lid.

13.  After 4-5 mins, mix the rice with all the ingredients.

14.  Cover with the lid and cook for 15-20 mins on low flame.

15.  Once the rice is cooked add the fried paneer cubes and mix well,after 1 min

16.  Cover & turn off the heat.

17.  Garnish with coriander leaves.

18.  Serve & enjoy the paneer pulao with mix koshimbir.
