I make my own spice mixtures at home not only because I am a bit frugal and I find those commercial spice packets to be packed with sodium and preservatives, but also because my storecupboard is never short of various spices which my father and brother often brings home from the Middle-East. Ingredients:

    GARLIC AND PAPRIKA SPICE RUB (for ROAST CHICKEN/TURKEY) & MEXICAN SPICE MIX/TACO SEASONING
  • Garlic and Paprika Spice Rub (for Roast Chicken/Turkey)- white vessel
  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt (not table salt)
  • 2 tablespoons salt-free garlic and herb seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Mexican Spice Mix/Taco Seasoning- black vessel
    * Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt (not table salt)
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons salt-free garlic and herb seasoning
