Tawa Pulao is the famous street food of Mumbai and is cooked in the same tawa in which pav bhaji is made. The vegetables used are also similar to the ones put in pav bhaji. We will try to replicate the same recipe here. However, I have used a flat deep pan instead on tawa. Rice is Dawat Brown Rice for the fibre. Vegetables like beetroot and carrot it added to make it healthier.

3 cups Cooked Brown Rice

2 Onions Finley Chopped

2 Tomato Finely Chopped

1 Capsicum Finely Chopped

2 Boiled and Mashed Potato

1/2 cup Green peas

1 Beetroot Finely Chopped

1 Carrot Finely Chopped

1 Beans Finely Chopped

Salt To taste

1 tsp Red chili powder

1 tsp Turmeric Powder

2 tsp Pav Bhaji Masala

2 tsp Lemon Juice

2 tbsp Oil

2.  Add finely chopped onions. Cook till it turns pink.

3.  Add chopped capsicum and cook for 3-4 minutes.

4.  Add chopped tomatoes and rest of the vegetables except potato.

5.  Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes on medium flame.

6.  Open lid and add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mashed potatoes.

7.  Mix well.

8.  Add cooked rice, salt, lemon juice and pav bhaji masala.

9.  Mix well. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes till rice and vegetables are well cooked
