Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 c Jada Poha/Thick beaten rice
  • 1 Onion (medium cut long/lengthwise)
  • 3-4 Green chillies ( chopped)
  • 1 Potato (cut in small size)
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Mustard seeds (rai)
  • Cumin seeds (jeera)
  • Turmeric powder (haldi)
  • Salt to taste
  • Grated fresh/dry coconut to garnish
  • leaves Coriander to garnish
  • 1 Lemon

Directions:

Take 2&1/2 bowls of poha/beaten rice in a broad vessel. Add water clean it and drain the water immediately and completely.

Heat oil in a non-stick kadhai, add mustard & cumin seeds. After they crackle add cut potatoes saute, cover the lid and cook for 2 mins.

Add the onion & green chillies, saute for 2 mins.

Add turmeric powder, salt and mix well.

Add the poha, mix well and cover the lid.

Cook the poha for 5 mins on medium flame.

Now, garnish the poha with grated coconut and coriander leaves.

Serve the poha, add lemon juice and enjoy.
