Andes Fudge Cookies

Dec 13th, 2011
These cookies have a slight crisp to the outside but a soft, gooey brownie like texture on the inside. They are intense, guaranteed to please any chocolate lover! I built this recipe after studying about ten or so variations, putting together what I thought would make the perfect cookie and if I ..

Classic Snickerdoodles
Posted on:
Jan 19th, 2012
These Snickerdoodles are sweet and crispy from the rolled sugar with a warm spice from the cinnamon. They're slightly crispy on the edges with a soft chewy center (the way every good cookie should be). There is something about that warmth and sweetness that brings me back to being a kid.

Gluten Free Apple Crumble Cake
Posted on:
Oct 13th, 2011
When I think of fall desserts I think of two things: Pumpkin and Apple. Apple is also one of the traditional foods for Rosh Hashanah. So I decided I was going to make a delicious apple cake using local apples (one of the many benefits of living in NY) for the holiday, only my family's party ..

Gluten Free Banana, Chocolate Chip, Coconut and Walnut Oatmeal Loaf
Posted on:
Oct 6th, 2011
While I'm posting this as a Banana, Chocolate Chip, Coconut and Walnut Oatmeal Loaf, the wonderful thing about this recipe is the add-in's can be whatever you'd like. You can make this loaf as healthy or as decadent as you'd like! I found a recipe for this on Flour Child's ..

Gluten Free Brownie Bliss
Posted on:
Aug 22nd, 2011
Rich, decadent brownies that happen to be completely gluten free! They're my perfect brownie. Crispy top with a moist, silky center. Rich and decadent with the sweet almond flavor coming through and slightly floral notes from the dark chocolate. My friends and family love them (and have ..

Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies
Posted on:
Sep 11th, 2011
I've tried so many packaged gluten free chocolate chip cookie mixes and there's always some aspect that dissatisfying about them, whether they're dry and gritty or have a distinct taste or smell that just screams gluten free (and not as good as the original!). My goal was to make a ..

Gluten Free Espresso Brownies
Posted on:
Oct 24th, 2011
I've taken my regular gluten free brownies to a new level by adding espresso. Chocolate and coffee are made for each other. The espresso makes them even richer, more chocolatey, not to mention the espresso flavor gives it a bit more complexity. For this version, you simply add 3 TBSP instant ..

Gluten Free Pumpkin Bread
Posted on:
Nov 22nd, 2011
I've made pumpkin bread every year for Thanksgiving since I was in Kindergarten. Over the years, my mom and I altered the recipe to perfect it to our liking, and this year I made it gluten-free. This loaf is irresistible, it never lasts more than a few days. It's moist, but still a bit ..

Gluten Free Pumpkin Oatmeals Cookies
Posted on:
Nov 20th, 2011
These cookies are perfect for fall flavors but of course great year round. The tart little bites of cranberry, smooth sweetness of the white chocolate chips, warmth from the cinnamon, and burst of pumpkin flavor make these my absolute favorite cookie. It is nearly impossible to eat just one. This ..

Gluten Free Spinach, Escarole, and Goat Cheese Lasagna
Posted on:
Oct 1st, 2011
Sometimes I get a bit discouraged going gluten-free. So I wanted to indulge myself in something a bit heavier than I normally eat, but like all things I cook, a twist on a classic. I love lasagna, but I was really in the mood for greens. Also, I personally am supposed to be staying away from cow ..

Gluten Free Thanksgiving Cornbread
Posted on:
Nov 21st, 2011
Since kindergarten I've been making cornbread every year for Thanksgiving. It turns out the recipe came from the back of the Indian Head Corn Meal bag, but over the years my mom and I have altered it to make it more to our liking. This year, going gluten-free, I gave it a go at making it ..

Gluten Free! Pancake Sunday
Posted on:
Jan 30th, 2012
Pancakes Sundays are a pretty motivating reason to actually get out of bed on a Sunday. We don't do it every Sunday, but when we do it's always a cheery (and delicious) way to start the day. Having nice warm, fluffy pancakes is especially delightful on a cold winter day. These pancakes are ..

Lemony Rolled Sugar Cookies
Posted on:
Dec 4th, 2011
My friend came over a few weeks ago and asked me to help her make gluten free sugar cookies. What we came up with was a soft, chewy cookie with crisp edges from rolling them in sugar before baking. They’re light, sweet, and fluffy with a bit of tang from the addition of cream cheese and from ..

Sauteed Swiss Chard and Pomegranate Seeds
Posted on:
Sep 17th, 2011
I often eat sauteed leafy greens simply with sauteed onions and a bit of salt, but when I saw that my supermarket had pomegranates in I thought it would be a great, simple way to brighten it up. It works great as an appetizer, side dish, even had it as my dinner. It would probably be great served ..
